How it works

Lose on purpose, win it back, keep the PAPER.

Papertrade mints PAPER on realised losses. papelito opens a Papertrade position and the exact opposite position on Hyperliquid, so the loss that mints PAPER is mostly paid back by the hedge. What's left is the cost of the PAPER, and the engine works to keep it small.

1

The Papertrade leg

A leveraged position that is closed when its loss reaches a set share of margin, well before the bust price. Losses mint PAPER: 100 per $1 while Papertrade's LP was below $2M, and fewer as it grows past that.

Closed at 70% of the distance to bust, never later.
2

The Hyperliquid hedge

The opposite position, opened first and closed last, at lower leverage on isolated margin. When the Papertrade leg loses, the hedge gains about the same amount.

Unhedged for at most 10 seconds, or it unwinds both legs.
3

The AI supervisor

Claude proposes leverage, harvest and hold settings every 15 minutes. A deterministic risk check accepts or rejects every change, and the AI never signs a transaction.

Changes are capped at ±20% and logged publicly.
Cost now, at Papertrade's live mint rate

What 1,000 PAPER costs.

The cost of PAPER is what the hedged pair spends on fees, funding and slippage, divided by the PAPER it mints. The spending comes from 92 days of backtest. The PAPER per dollar comes from Papertrade's mint rate, read from its contracts on HyperEVM every minute.

the live engine on simulated venues vs the backtest, 30 days of BTC

Backtest, July–September 2026, at the then mint rate of 100 PAPER per $1: $2.25 BTC, $3.68 ETH. The mint rate falls as Papertrade's LP grows, so cost rises.

Today's cost is an estimate: the backtest's spending at the live mint rate, not a new backtest. Backtest and simulation results, not live trading. Real costs depend on fills, latency, funding and how Papertrade's LP behaves. Past prices don't predict future ones.

$PAPELITO

The token lives on Solana. The agents work on Hyperliquid.

$PAPELITO is a Solana token. papelito itself runs where the trading is: Papertrade and the hedges on Hyperliquid, with credits paid in USDC on HyperEVM. The treasury runs the same agents as everyone else, and its PAPER earns USDC.

Treasury (a Safe multisig)
Farms PAPER

Runs a hedged account with protocol revenue, like any user.

Papertrade
Stakes the PAPER

PAPER can't be transferred at launch; it can only be staked.

Papertrade staking
Pays USDC

Staked PAPER earns USDC from Papertrade's realised PnL and LP overflow.

$PAPELITO holders
Rewards, later

A way to share that USDC with holders is planned, not live yet.

On Solana Live

$PAPELITO is a Solana token.

Runs on Hyperliquid

Agents trade Papertrade and hedge on Hyperliquid. Credits are USDC on HyperEVM.

Staking and rewards Pending

Stake $PAPELITO to share the treasury's USDC. Staking opens later; nothing is paid out today.
